Pastel mink newsboy in natural undyed color - this is where things get unpredictable in the best way. Every cap comes out slightly different because we're using genuine fur in whatever soft tone it naturally is. Can't control exact shade. One might be warmer cream, another cooler grey-beige, some lean peachy. You get actual natural variation not factory sameness.
Started using undyed pastel mink after customers kept requesting softer colors but didn't want the maintenance of pure white. Natural pastel hits that sweet spot - light enough to be distinctive but forgiving enough to actually wear regularly. Plus each piece is genuinely unique in a way dyed fur never is.
Working with natural pastel means I can't predict what I'm getting until building it. Sometimes pelts are warmer honey-beige, other times cooler taupe-grey. All beautiful just different. That slight variation between sections of the same cap proves it's real undyed fur. Factory stuff looks identical because everything gets processed and bleached to match.
The soft tones develop richer character over time instead of fading or yellowing like treated fur can. Natural oils in undyed mink actually help it age better. Had customers mention after years of wearing theirs the color deepened slightly and looks better than when new. That doesn't happen with bleached or dyed fur.
Pastel works with way more than you'd expect. Pairs beautifully with black, navy, grey, camel, brown, even white coats. The soft natural beige is neutral enough to not clash while being distinctly luxurious. More versatile than it probably should be given it's technically a colored fur.
Fuller crown sits on your head without crushing hair underneath. Can wear it with bun or ponytail and the cap just accommodates naturally. That rounded volume everyone mentions - no squeezing or flattening your hairstyle like tight winter hats do.
Natural undyed mink sheds light snow and drizzle surprisingly well. The organic oils in unprocessed fur actually help with water resistance better than treated stuff. Obviously not for storms but handles normal winter weather fine. Shake off moisture and let it dry naturally away from direct heat.
Maintenance on pastel is easier than white but needs more attention than dark colors. Shows dirt more than black or brown would but way less demanding than pure white. Still need regular gentle brushing and proper storage but not high-maintenance. The natural color hides minor wear better than you'd think.
What you receive might not match the photos exactly and that's the whole point. Could be warmer or cooler toned. Slightly lighter or richer. That's the trade-off for genuine natural material. If you need exact color matching probably better going with dyed. But if you appreciate each piece being truly one-of-a-kind this is for you.
Your specific cap's pastel tone combination literally won't exist anywhere else. That natural variation makes it authentically yours in a way mass-produced items never are. After wearing it regularly the fur molds slightly to your head shape and the color develops personal character.
The unpredictability is part of the appeal honestly. Some people hate not knowing exact shade they're getting. Others love that element of uniqueness. Depends what you value - uniformity or individuality.

Sizing details

Finding a hat that fits well starts with knowing your head size. To measure your head circumference, use a soft tape measure. Wrap it around your head, just above your ears and eyebrows, exactly where your hat will sit.
Make sure the tape measure goes over the widest part of your head, ensuring it's not too tight. You don't want to end up with a hat that's too snug! If your measurement falls between sizes, it's typically best to go up to the nearest centimeter for a comfortable fit.
Remember, everyone's head shape is unique and the perfect fit can vary between different hat styles or brands. Armed with your precise head measurement, you'll be well on your way to finding your new favorite hat.

Care instructions

When you first receive your fur hat, it may have been compressed during shipping. Don't worry; your hat just needs a bit of care to return to its original splendor. Start by shaking it gently to fluff up the fur. If needed, you can use a wide-toothed comb or a brush with soft bristles to detangle and smooth the fur, but always remember to follow the natural direction of the hair, to avoid damage.

Once you've given it a good fluff, hang your hat in a well-ventilated, cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to allow it to fully recover and breathe. Don't rush this process - it may take a couple of days for the hat to regain its shape fully. And there you have it - your beautiful, fluffy fur hat is ready to wear and impress!
